Seymour First Selectman Paul Roy visited Bungay Elementary School this week in celebration of Dr. Seuss' Birthday and Read Across America Day on March 2. Besides hosting guest readers throughout the day, the school also celebrated with a student council-designated Crazy Hat Day. The CT Sunlight Project is a web site constructed by the Yankee Institute for Public Policy so that the citizens of Connecticut can look at various line items of state spending and discover how tax dollars are being spent by those individuals working for the State of Connecticut. Information is made available for several classifications including PAYROLLS, PENSIONS and CHECKS TO BUSINESSES AND PEOPLE. The list includes the years 1997 and 1998 and is reportedly being updated to make it more current. Check out the following link and become informed:
